Question How to make planning for a website?

Planning is very very important for any work which is being done. Before you start thinking about what to write on each page of your website, it is important that you create a plan. Spending adequate time to plan your website will save you both time and money in the long term and will result in a website that better serves your marketing.

To help you get started planning your website, here are a few key points to focus on,

Define your objectives for a website

Think it through, map it out and determine what the objectives of your website are. They may be to advertise or sell your products or services, impart information, gather information or to teach something to the users of your site. Identify the objectives before you start.

  • In ten words or less, what is your sole purpose for publishing a website?
  • List the key products or services that your website going to provide.
  • Who is your audience? Who do you hope will visit your website?

Choose a topic

Choose a topic or product on which you want to make a website. For example if you are interested in games then collect lot of information on games. If you want sell any product from your website then also collect big knowledge about your product and images for publishing on website.  When you have chosen any product then note these things.

  • Write notes while you brainstorm, including questions you may have.
  • Make an outline of your needs, followed by writing all the details.
  • Organize folders in which you add and keep information and materials for your Web site: a physical folder with photos, brochures, company logo, written materials.
  • a directory folder on your computer with text for your Web site, digitized photos, images, logos, and other pertinent information.
  • Look at as many Web sites as you can that are related to yours in some way. This will not only help you see what your competition has going and an overall perspective of Web sites in general, it will also help you brainstorm for your own site. Make note of the following: Web sites that you like and why.
  • Web sites that you don't like and why not .

Finally remember: plan a site with objectives in mind, build a suitable and appropriate site for your business, get the users in, keep them in, get them returning and manage your site.
